Boarding

Information and Policies

   Pricing:

Please contact our office for boarding rates.  Rates vary according to pet's species (dog, cat, avian, exotic)    as well as pet's weight.  You may also request that your pet be bathed prior to pick-up for a discounted fee.

   Vaccination Requirements:
We require written proof of vaccinations against the diseases detailed below, or verification must    be brought from the Doctor/Clinic who gave the vaccinations.  Owner/breeder administered    vaccinations are not acceptable.  It is our responsiblity to protect other pets from infectious diseases.    Ideally, your pet should be vaccinated at least one week prior to boarding to ensure the vaccine's    effectiveness.

Drop off / Pick up:

Pets may be brought in for boarding any time during normal business hours.   Reservations are    recommended as available space cannot be guaranteed without a reservation.  Please allow at least 15    minutes when dropping off your pet to complete the required paperwork.  If you are dropping your pet off late    in the day we also request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing.  For safety and liability    purposes pets may only be picked up during normal business hours.  Please schedule your plans    appropriately.

   Medications:

We charge a nominal fee for medications given to your pet while boarding with us.

Diet:

We will be happy to feed your pet its normal diet if provided.  We feed Hills Science Diet products in    our facility and will feed your pet this premium diet unless notified otherwise.

   Personal Items:

While at PPHC your pet will be provided clean bedding and dishes daily.  We prefer that you utilize this    service to assure proper sterilization and cleanliness.  We will accept beds and personal items, but do not    guarantee the return of toys, bedding, or dishes left with pets.

   Emergencies:

If an illness manifests in your pet while boarding with us, we will provide medical treatment as needed and    contact the emergency phone number you have provided us unless you request otherwise.

   External Parasites (Fleas, Ticks, Mites):

When brought in for boarding, treatment or hospitalization if it is determined that a pet has fleas, ticks,    earmites or mange mites we reserve the right to bathe and dip or to treat the pet at the owner's expense.    This policy is necessary to prevent our clinic from becoming infested with these parasites as well as to    prevent the spread of these parasites to other healthy animals.

   Exercise:

All dogs are walked at least three times daily in our spacious privacy-fenced backyard.  Many clinics that do    not have access to grass do not even take animals outside to urinate and defecate; instead, these pets    often must eliminate in their cages and wait for someone to move the pet and clean the cage. We are    fortunate enough to offer a controlled outdoor environment for your dog's comfort.
