We offer and highly recommend regular wellness diagnostic testing in order to establish baseline values for future reference during times of illness, and to find diseases in their early stages before they cause outwards symptoms. This allows us to better address and treat those diseases.

There are different tests recommended for different age groups and for different species. Before an appointment you may be approached by our staff about this service to be sure you are informed about the availability of the testing and what it might mean for your pet's health. Even though you may have been approached in the past and declined at that time, you will most likely be approached again at some point. We have had many clients who declined at one point but were interested in this testing at a  later date; with that in mind, the staff is instructed to offer it again on future visits.

Sometimes your pet's specific recommendations may be altered due to a pre-existing condition or a breed specific concern, but that will be addressed by the doctor.

The other benefit of the wellness testing is that when we lump certain tests together, the lab gives us a discount that we are able to pass to you at the time of the testing. This is why we are able to offer these at a discounted rate if done together.
